Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland Tour

Cross borders into a land of natural wonders

About the trip

Embark on the ultimate day trip from Prague and journey into a breathtaking landscape of sandstone towers, ancient forests and dramatic river canyons that spans two countries. The Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland National Park is a realm of staggering beauty, home to some of Europe's most spectacular natural monuments.

This all-inclusive adventure lets you experience the very best of both the Czech and German sides of the park in a single, unforgettable day — with a local English-speaking guide who knows exactly when and where to avoid the crowds.

Pravčická Gate, the symbol of Bohemian Switzerland, was a filming location for The Chronicles of Narnia. Across the border, the legendary Bastei Bridge offers panoramic views that feel ripped from a painting. Between the two, we stop for a proper Czech lunch and a quiet moment to take it all in.

Frequently asked

Do I need a passport to join the tour?+

Yes — we briefly cross from the Czech Republic into Germany, so please bring a valid passport or EU national ID card.

How fit do I need to be?+

The tour is rated moderate. Expect around 8 km of walking on forest paths and sandstone stairs. If you can comfortably walk in a city for half a day, you'll be absolutely fine.

What happens if the weather is bad?+

We run rain or shine — the sandstone scenery is magical in mist. In case of severe weather we adjust the route, and full refunds are available if we have to cancel.

Is the tour suitable for kids?+

Yes, for kids around 8 years and up who enjoy a day outdoors. Younger children may find the full day tiring.

Can dietary preferences be accommodated at lunch?+

Absolutely — vegetarian and vegan options are available. Let me know any allergies when you book.
